Before you start hiking the mountain trails, to Morskie Oko, or the beautiful Tatra valleys, we remind you of the attractions of Zakopane that you must not miss:

- The cable car to Kasprowy Wierch, operating since 1936, reaches the summit in 12 minutes. It is very popular both in winter, due to the best ski slopes in Poland, and in summer. From Kasprowy Wierch, you can take a walk down to Zakopane. It is also a great starting point for trekking in the Tatras;

- The Tatra Style Museum Villa Koliba, the first house built in the Zakopane style according to the design of Stanisław Witkiewicz. Inside, you can see furniture and tableware in the Zakopane style, which was popularized in the Podhale region and framed theoretically at the end of the 19th century by Stanisław Witkiewicz (the father of Witkacy);

- Gubałówka: a place extremely popular due to its easy accessibility (you reach the summit by a cable car) and amazing views. From the top, there is a panorama of Zakopane and the towering Tatras. You can easily spot Giewont and Kasprowy Wierch, and on a good day, also the highest peaks of the High Tatras;

- Krupówki: The most famous promenade in the capital of the Tatras. Every tourist visiting Zakopane feels obliged to stroll along this kilometer-long alley, gazing at the towering Giewont above the town;

- Wielka Krokiew, a ski jump that impresses not only during competitions. World Cup events are held here.
